There is no doubt that the Covid-19 shelter in place order certainly affected the market these last few months. Based off the most current Market Action Report for Portland here are a few insights. There was a drop in inventory January - March but things started picking up again with new listings in April. While people took a pause pending sales decreased by 10% but closed sales increased 2.9%. Average sale price has increased 4.3% compared to the same time last year which suggest the housing market is still going strong in Portland.
