The eastside half of Moreland is purely residential with stately homes on generous lots and lovingly established gardens. Its sister neighborhood is Sellwood-Moreland which serves as one of the easily accessible commercial cores for Eastmoreland.

Some special features in this neighborhood include Reed College, the exquisite Crystal Spring’s Rhododendron Garden, Eastmoreland Golf Course (Oregon’s 2nd oldest golf course). Known for its generous, tree-lined streets, the Eastmoreland neighborhood has a project called 100 Trees 100 Years, designed to sustain its street tree canopy.

Fun Fact

A favorite event in the neighborhood is the Eastmoreland Garage Sale, held each June for over 30 years, the neighborhood opens its collective garages and sells its unnecessary treasures. For the upcoming dates check out the neighborhood association website.
